Bhojaraju Gunjal lives in Rourkela and serves as Head & Deputy Librarian, Central Library at National Institute of Technology Rourkela. Prior to this, I served as Deputy Librarian at Thapar University, Patiala, Punjab and Knowledge Management (KM) Consultant at TATA Consultancy Services (TCS), Bangalore - a leading software consulting company that specializes in the global delivery model.

 

He has over 1 8 years of professional experience in Knowledge management (KM), Library Management, Enterprise Content Management (ECM), and Project Management (PM) in both academic and IT sectors using ECM tools such as SharePoint, Documentum and InQuira. Awarded Ph.D. in Library and Information Science on the topic “Knowledge Organisation Systems in Digital Libraries: A Case of ETDs” from University of Mysore, Mysore. Also, a recipient of 2008 Endeavour Research Fellow to visit Australia as part of a research study at School of Computer science and Mathematics, Victoria University, Melbourne. The investigation made on KOS aspects such as ontology, taxonomy, concept maps, metadata, information visualization, user experience, search strategy and others w.r.t Digital Libraries and Electronic Theses and Dissertations. His academic background is MLIS (Master of Library & Information Science) from Karnatak University,Dharwar securing high First Class and Gold Medal. Recipient of National Merit Scholarship for twice. Completed PGDLAN (Post Graduate Diploma in Library Automation and Networking) from University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad. 

 

Published & presented technical papers in the field of Library & Information, Knowledge Management both in national and international conferences/journals and also attended various professional training programs. 

 

Life member of library associations like ILA, IASLIC, BOSLA, SIS & ALISP (Online). Founder of KM-Forum: an initiative from India – an e-discussion group for global KM & LIS professionals. Actively participating in KM group meetings & discussions. 

 

Designed and developed KM Cyberary: a gateway to Knowledge Resources - for KM, LIS professionals and all Internet users searching for information in all subjects.
